Andrew Thomas Taylor

Andrew Thomas Taylor c.1900

Sir Andrew Thomas Taylor  (13 October 1850 – 5 December 1937) was an architect and Conservative Party politician.

Born in Scotland, Taylor trained as an architect in London before moving to Canada where he had a successful architectural career. He retired in 1904 and returned to London.

In October 1908 he was elected to fill a casual vacancy in the representation of Hampstead on the London County Council. Sitting as member of the Conservative-backed Municipal Reform Party he held the seat until February 1926. He was knighted in July 1926.
