(Susan Elizabeth) Mary Jeune, (nee Stewart-Mackenzie), known as Mary Stanley from 1871-81 and Mary Jeune from 1881-1905 and as Baroness St Helier from 1905 (1845 – 25 January 1931).


She was well-known for her hospitality and charitable works and for her interest in the Garden City Movement.

She sat as a Municipal Reform Party alderman of the London County Council 1910-27. Following her death in 1931 the LCC housing development in south London that was being constructed was named the St Helier Estate.
