Blackwell is a Docklands Light Railway station in Blackwall, London, located in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, and is in Travelcard Zone 2. Opened on 28 March 1994, on the site of Poplar railway station.
History
The station was originally planned to be connected to the London Underground via the Jubilee Line extension. This was authorised in 1990 but was replaced by diverting the line between Canary Wharf and Canning Town underneath the River Thames to serve the Greenwich peninsula at North Greenwich station.
