A station on the Northern Line and Victoria Line in Travelcard Zone 1. Mainline services - at the terminus - were opened on 20 July 1837, and underground on 22 June 1907. The original surface building for the underground station can be seen on a road to the west of the mainline station.

Euston Square Station, King's Cross St. Pancras Station, the British Library and the Wellcome Institute are all within a short distance.
