Henry Frost, a bookbinder’s finisher, born in Shoreditch 1874. Died 1943, aged 69.

Elected to Shoreditch Vestry as a Liberal Party councillor at the age of 21 in 1896. He became a member of the successor Shoreditch Borough Council.

In 1915 he was elected to Walthamstow Urban District Council. In 1920 he left the Liberals and in 1922 was re-elected as a Labour Party councillor. He was Chairman of the Urban District Council. In 1929 the urban district was granted a charter to become the Municipal Borough of Walthamstow. Frost continued as a member of the new Walthamstow Corporation and served as Mayor of Walthamstow for 1938-39.
