Rev Canon Hubert Curtis (c.1850 - 14 July 1944)
Vicar of Holy Trinity, Clapham Common, then of the Church of the Ascension, Balham Hill.
Member of the London School Board, elected for Lambeth West 1888, but defeated at the next election in 1891. He was chairman of the Wandsworth and Clapham Board of Guardians.
He was made an honorary canon of Rochester Cathedral. He was chairman of the Battersea Polytechnic from 1908-1941.
He died, aged 94, in North Cray.
