John Mundy was Sheriff of London 1515 and Lord Mayor of London in 1522. Mundy was later knighted. He died in 1537.
His second wife was the daughter of Sir William Browne, and granddaughter of two mayors, John Browne (mayor) and Sir Edmund Shaa.
He was a Prime Warden of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths
