This is a partial list of chairmen of Erith Urban District Council. The council was created by the Local Government Act 1894 and held its first meeting on 1 January 1895. In 1938 Erith was granted a charter of incorporation to become a Municipal Borough and the office of chairman was replaced that of mayor.

  • 1895-96: Thomas Streeten (last chairman of Erith Local Board) (died July 1896)
  • 1898 (April-July): George Brown (died July 1898 whilst having a bicycle lesson in his garden)
