The London Wiki is a collaborative encyclopedia for everything related to Greater London and the surrounding area. The wiki format allows anyone to create or edit any article, so we can all work together to create a comprehensive database for all London residents and those interested in London.Somewhat more flexibility is allowed than in Wikipedia - so long as it is London related: lists of walks, interesting bus trips, 'places associated with a particular topic' etc.

Parks, gardens and other open areas.
Sport
Transport

There is a particular emphasis on the history of London's government and those participating in it.

Advice for users

British English (spelling etc) is the preferred version (unless quoting texts from other usages).
Where possible give references/sources.
Genealogical information - indicate sources/'family history research' etc.

As there is a very limited contributor base, and emphasis is given to topics which are not in Wikipedia, some articles may not be up to date.
