Percy George Gates (1863 - 31 March 1940) was a businessman, solicitor and Conservative Party politician.
Born in the Pimlico area of Westminster, he was the son of Philip Chasemore Gates, a Queen's Counsel and barrister and his wife Anna Maria née Harbin. He was educated at Wellington College, Sandhurst.
In 1888 he married Mabel Anna Jane Dickson, and by 1891 the couple were living in Kensington.
Gates worked as a solicitor and parliamentary agent. He inherited shares in a number of brewery companies, which eventually led to him becoming a director of Charrington and Company.
He entered local politics as a member of Kensington Vestry and was a member of the successor Kensington Borough Council, serving as Mayor of Kensington in 1904-05.
In October 1911 he was elected unopposed to fill a casual vacancy in the representation of Westminster on the London County Council. He sat as a Municipal Reform Party councillor until 1919.
From 1922-29 he was Conservative Member of Parliament for Kensington North.
