So how does the 1953 date mentioned in [1] relate to the Carnival Committee mentioned here? Jackiespeel (talk) 22:31, 18 June 2021 (UTC)

I doubt it has any connection. I don't know if it is worth adding, but Fear was dressed General Lord Roberts at the 1900 carnival as part of a group celebrating the Relief of Mafeking. Lozleader (talk) 19:45, 19 June 2021 (UTC)

There are a couple of other references to the later carnival and to 'Feltham and Bedfont Carnival', and it is unclear if the event continues: 'too obscure to research at present' (but within the remit of LW if it can be done).
