The Whitechapel Threads is a memorial on Sclater Street, in Shoreditch.
History[]
The memorial[1] was created by artists Tim and Hattie Coppard, and was erected in 1996 as part of the Bethnal Green City Challenge Regeneration Programme as a reminder of the importance of the garment and textile industries in Bethnal Green.[2]
