Veritas was a political party formed in 2005 by a split in the United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP) and merged into the English Democrats in 2015.
The party briefly had two members on the London Assembly in 2005. Damian Hockney and Peter Hulme-Cross, who had been elected as London-wide members on the UKIP list, joined Veritas in February. In September they left Veritas to form their own party, One London.
